Emma ( Lacey Chabert ) jest piękną i utalentowaną artystką, jej mąż, Brad ( Ethan Embry ) znanym psychiatrą. Mają idealne, kochające się małżeństwo.
Niestety Emma  jest od dziecka prześladowana przez wyimaginowaną przyjaciółkę,  Brad planuje poddać żonę leczeniu w specjalnym ośrodku.
